Weird I was thinking about this kind of this morning. I should be able to get all my TV services in my I-Phone, I-Pad or a TV connected to IP source anywhere. I guess someone is going to offer me that option.
Weren't you saying there can be only one? Looks like a reasonable assumption down the road. This spectrum acquisition could be very big, could also limit these segment to the carrier end of the arrangement which might not be all bad for investors.
Droopy, short term gain for cmcsa long term advantage for vz. over the next few years, might be accelerated through technology advances, delivery mechanisms will dramaticaly change. Not sure vz will be a long term winner either.
Short term, this is good for all involved. gives cmcsa a piece of the puzzle missing right now. Can cmcsa take advantage of it and lock in customers? Interesting play.
This transaction is anti-competitive. For home video on big screen HDTVs one needs very high bandwidth that is possible only with wireline (cable, FIOS) delivery. There are two incumbent operators - VZ and CMCSA or TWC. Now they are going to cross-sell?
This transaction cannot be approved. This one is even worse than T/T-mo.
There will be a lot more on this. CMCSA better make sure that NO DOCUMENTS ARE SHREDDED OR ERASED.
