Anadarko Petroleum Corporation Message Board

    Anyone with guts?

TO: lang_haul, spastic_insider, or any other APC employees who frequent this board: Why don't one or all of you look up Booby Allison's e-mail address and post it on this site for the rest of us. Then those of us who frequent this board can e-mail ole BA directly! I'm sure he doesn't have the time or interest to read some of these enlightening postings. I'll bet he does has someone who monitors this message board, but is probably too afraid to report the real gist of the material to him. He is only receiving edited, sugar-coated versions. However, if any on this board has the guts to e-mail BA directly, then we could circumvent his sugar and stick the truth more closer to home. Sure, his secretary is probably monitoring his e-mails and only passes things that should be passed...such as yesterday's food consumption, messages from his wife and mistress, lunch and golf invitations and schedules or any other such personal and more important messages. However, if his secretary sees numerous messages regarding the public's concerns over his silence and lack of leadership, then perhaps she/he might eventually pass on such concerns. Allison has always maintained an "open-door" policy...let's see if that is still true or not!

I may clean toilets for living, but I'm not stupid or a turncoat. Besides, nobody ever said I was an insider....maybe I'm a vendor that takes the ops engineers out to lunch, or the small little weasely guy who cleans the offices. Regardless, I would never consider giving out Mr. Allison's e-mail address. I have alot of respect for him and this company despite their almost dysfunctional inabaility to move forward or create an employee-driven company.

Let's understand something here: This board is read by about 65-75% of APC employees, daily, including management. APC is basically broken into the following groups:

Employees - 65% of this group read the board to figure out latest rumors, read the "news", and see what everyone else has to say.

Bloated Middle Management - 75% of this group read the board to figure out the latest rumors, convice themselves that the negativity is not directed towards THEM, and get mad at Employees for not being invigorated and motivated. Maybe we need more micromanagement? That's what's needed....

Out-of-touch Upper Mgmnt - 70% of this group reads, and will never admit to any of the three groups that they read. They poo-poo any thought of reading such mindless drivel. But they read and get themselves stewed up inside because, according to them, they've done everything right. It's just Wall Street's fickle tastes that has the stock price down, they convince themselves. Surely that "lack of leadership" doesn't refer to them?

So each of your posts get read, I'll bet, by around 70% of all APC employees. If you asked all employees who read this board to put a piece of scotch tape on their name plates outside their offices, cubbies, broom closets and such I bet you'd be surprised how many pieces of tape turn up.

    • Most CEO's and high company officers have security on their E-mails to prevent us from getting through. I had a jet blu pilot give me their ceo's email once, it came back undeliverable

    • Everyone, even the person who is the steward of our investment in Anadarko, deserves to be protected from you stalker-types.
