I see that one of those three cities is where I hale from. And I ride the bus every once in a while. I think I'll start sniffing around to see how real this is. I know that we are going to add to the limited light rail we have now to the tune of $1.2 billion.
A few tens of buses costs peanuts compared to that.
Proterra building 'em in America I think. Drove one up Capital Hill some time back. Link above is Leno being shown through a Proterra Eco-liner which he takes around the block.
Lithium-Titanate packs for these demo-buses are among orders the US plant is fulfilling before they are closed down as Altair becomes 'cost efficient' making sales of China produced goods going forward. First shovel of dirt not turned on expected factory, details surrounding factory land agreement with local Chinese Government not final yet.
With the move to China, can anyone say about exclusivity of Altair formulated Lithium-Titanate sales in US. Could an American licensee produce and sell Altair product into future demand here. Seems with the Reno facility on the block advertising 'serious offers considered', the stated wind-down of current active US production for labor cost efficiencies, and no certain dates surrounding production facility go ahead.
I bought small number of shares early March. Have listened to a few CC's and was surprised tiaotiao, who posts often, had not heard of that saga surrounding the Central American(?) stationary storage which is years long now. Busses, stationary, how do you pursue sales (demand) without source of supply?
