Since August, 2008, ADRE has underperformed the S&P500 by about 10%. After a low about 3 months ago, ADRE has performed well relative to the S&P500, defying the wisdom of savants who have claimed the world economic slump is hitting developing economies harder than the US. Any thoughts about this???
On May 19, 2008, ADRE closed at an all time high of 57.84. By Oct 24, 2008 it was down 61.7% while the S&P500 was down only 38.5%. But since that date ADRE has recovered most of the 23.2% gap between itself and the S&P500. At yesterday's close ADRE was down 35.4% from its 2008 high while the S&P500 was down 33.9%. ADRE will soon surpass S&P500's performance since May, 2008.
