    OCZ SSD manufacturers Technology said on Monday that has acquired in Israel caching and virtual Flash storage-Sanrad hardware and software developers.

    OCZ says Sanrad hardware and software products, has been a VMware, Microsoft and Citrix certifications, could help speed up the OCZ PCIE Flash storage solutions for virtualized data centers.

    Sanrad VXL software combines the company's Flash cache and virtualization technologies to deploy virtualized environments, allowing customers to managed virtual machines in the cache. These virtual machines using industry standard iSCSI Protocol and storage connectivity, enabling them to seamlessly in Windows, Solaris, FreeBSD or Linux operating systems, such as work, without having to install the agent on each virtual machine or the driver.

    VXL also supports important enterprise storage functions, such as quality of service (QoS), high availability, clustering, mirroring, WAN replication and snapshot, and to guarantee for VMware vMotion virtual machine migration feature for full cache migrations.

    Sanrad technology sold to Nexsan now and Bocco (Brocade), OEM, but also by selling to enterprise customers.

    In a prepared statement, CEO of the OCZ Ryan Petersen said: this acquisition is very important to OCZ, because it can make its PCIE Flash and SSD storage solutions applied to the virtual data center environments.

    Petersen said in a statement: "it significantly enhance customer's ability to increase data center performance and efficiency, more virtual machines (VM) loaded into the server's ability to access your data without slowing down, thus reducing the overall cost of deployment. ”

    Aaron Rakers, Stifel Nicolaus analyst, wrote in a brief report on Monday, OCZ acquisitions Sanrad is similar to last year, Fusion-io IO Turbine.

    Rakers said Monday morning: "we believe the merger as compared to Fusion-io previously acquired IO Turbine, Fusion-io acquired ioCache software/hardware, caching and acceleration data from the Fusion of the companies of directCache software for Microsoft Windows and Linux environments expanded to VMware ESX, hyper-v. ”
