These guys are one of the big 3 players in the ssd, they are in a terrible state right now, If they dont recover from this mess, theyll deff become a buyout candidate
Possible companies that might benefit from their patents & technology
APPLE(they might integrate ssd drives into their macbooks, imacs)
These are the companies that come to my mind. I'm from Turkey, I hold no positions in this company, but hopefully soon will.
Worst case scenario is not buyout.
IP and core engineers sold to FIO or Intel
The rest is auctioned and spread across shareholders.
OCZ is American company - meaning people are living in US and are not going to relocate to Taiwan or Korea. So only US based company would be possible candidate for this type scenario - I'd say IBM or HP from the list but not likely,
"OCZ is American company"
no they are not! manufacturing is done in taiwan! the R&D is done in isreal, usa and some other country i forget what one off the top of my head. bottom line only thing major in usa is the head guys.
you are correct about the auctioned off part and spread across shareholders though if ocz goes this route.
Wow, I mean wow are you serious? OCZ is a global company like every other storage manufacturer. The controller team is from London, the VxL team is from Israel, the manufacturing is done in Korea. Wake up dude!
"These guys are one of the big 3 players in the ssd, they are in a terrible state right now"
now if they were one of the big players why they in a terrible state? come on! quit eating donars, they making you say stupid things!
