Ladies and Gents, boys and girls,
I'm working on a new article and it wont be pretty (You can blame this on OCZ). It is almost done but just for giggles...If you want to present your side of the arguement using facts or if you just want a certain angle explored please feel free to present your case below. Both positive and negative angles will be considered.
Note, if your going to present a rosy picture please do better than the gnome arguement of step 1. Steal underpants, step 3 Profit!. Remember OCZ is trying to compete w/ the big boys here (IBM, EMC, FIO) and they are not in a good position financially nor is the market health per the PC sectors contraction in sales.
Do you really think that with Hercules on board that OCZ is looking at a bankruptcy? How much actual technical knowledge do you have? What do you actually know about computers? Because if anybody here thinks that Barefoot 3 is going to liquidation then you're insane, a liar or both.
The notion that this technology is going to some fire sale bidder is moronic in nature. Sure, the market is shifting, and its tough when you're up against companies like Samsung and Sandisk but the tech is solid.
So what you have here is a born-again start-up. They have what people want, and there haven't even been any licensing deals announced yet. There's a reason for that.
Wow. You guys attacking Austin are a bunch of the lamest people I have ever seen gambling, I mean investing. Seriously, get a grip on life and disconnect from your emotional tie to an investment. Here an author openly invites your intelligent and intuitive input into an article on the state of this company, obviously based on either fact or presumed fact derived from what is currently publicaly available, and your responses are nothing more than emotional tirades and threats, invalid ones by the way, of SEC engagement and blah blah. There is no law being broken nor infracted upon from an author asking for your opinion or input and then publishing his opinion in an article. Get a grip and a clue and stop with the posting of stupid, unintelligent, misinformed, naive, moronic responses.
If you want your thoughts to be heard, he asked for you to raise them in an intelligent format with supporting facts. Do so for crying out loud.
OCZ can only survive in the long run if it can increase enterprise sales while maintaining the same margins, which I believe was around 30%.
The other exit option is a buyout
They will be facing tough odds tho, competitors such as EMC,STEC,FIO,HP is really hard to come against.
The weakest competitor STEC has a much higher market share, and a net cash position of 156m.
In the consumer market theres no way they can compete with nand fab owners.
Soliciting information on which to base any article is lazy. Can't you come up with your own information? Real writers include an apostrophe in the word "won't". It's a contraction of the words "will not". You should have used a comma after "It is almost done". You misspelled the word "argument" twice. You should have placed a comma after the word "explored". Semi-colon after the word "Note". You should have typed a comma after the word "picture". Semi-colon after the word "Remember". Spell the word "with" out, using "w/" for the word "with" leads to confusion for those who don't understand english shorthand. English is a second language for some readers here. A good author always keeps their readers in mind. The sentence; "OCZ is competing with the likes of IBM, EMC, and FIO..." makes for a cleaner sentence.
Keep in mind I'm just a Texas hillbilly #$%$ and I'm pointing out some basic writing mistakes you are making and for gawd's sake son, try not to be so lazy!
The article is done. I am just giving the readers here a chance to put out ideas as they typically get butt-hurt when an article comes out that presents data they do not like. I could care less about grammar on an internet msg board. When I need my grammer to be tight I make it tight. When it can be sloppy and fast.. its just that. Time is money.
