-Senators from coastal states proposed legislation Monday to raise the liability cap for oil spills to $10 billion from the current $75 million.
"The bottom line is that oil spills can leave massive holes in the economy," said Sen. Robert Menendez (D.-N.J.), joined by fellow New Jersey Democratic Frank Lautenberg and Florida Democrat Bill Nelson.
Menendez noted that current U.S. law provides that an oil company must pay for the clean-up of a spill from one of its facilities.
RAM just pinches the pipe shut. Multiple rams will close all flow. This is a tried and true method of stopping flow as long as the pipe bends. I have personnally seen this happen before. Now just cleanup and nothing shore. Bring in the vacuum cleaners and pay my dividend!!
