    BP's profits are coming to a stop soon too.
    They are going to be avoided like the plague in the Gulf states if not nationwide.
    You haven't seen an organized BOYCOTT effort yet, have you?

      No, they are not. Boycotting BP stations will have minimal to no impact on BP, though it might hurt the independent small business people that run these stations. BP, like most major oil companies, makes the bulk of its money from Upstream production businesses. The money it makes downstream is mainly from refining and trading. If people don't buy gas at a BP station, they will need to buy it somewhere else; the total demand for gas will not change, so the output of BP's refineries will enter the market one way or another through oil traders and brokers. And BP operates all over the globe, not just in the US.
