If BP can't contain these massive oil leaks, then these leaks could last decades, even centuries. After some time, the oil will completely cover the gulf and affect all the world's oceans, seas and ultimately lakes and rivers. All sea life will perish and we depend on the ocean for food. The weather will change drastically because water cannot evaporate into the sky. When the oil has filled up the gulf, it will seep inland and God forbid our coastal lands will be flooded with oil. Of course, the oil first will float throughout the world's oceans for a long time before it reaches all coastal areas worldwide.
Over time, if the oil continues to pour out of the ocean floor and flood the lands, we might have to build Arks to save animals and people. Instead this time the earth will not be flooded with water but with oil.
Could this be the end times? Will our future progeny survive if these leaks cannot be stopped?
Speaking of tin hats. How about for the sake of national security, homeland security is showing the multi colored mud swirls. The Obama comes on and tells everyone, (flippantly), "as long as the mud is coming out, the oil isn't." The situation is bad enough, why add a wall of worry on top of it. I think he does think that way...not a criticism.
The thought crossed my mind today, what if?
Of course, this is a worse-case scenario.
When I was in graduate school, my environmental professor said that the world will NEVER run out of oil. And that the earth can and will heal itself from a oil spill, over time.
But my God, this oil leak is like slitting a wrist while laying in a bathtub. A bandaid won't stop the bleeding!
In a new development all 125 commercial fishing boats helping to clean up the oil off Louisiana were recalled after four workers reported health problems.
