It's not from an environmentalist's point of view, but interesting nonetheless. What it comes down to is that AFTER the leak is stopped, which should be when they get the relief well done one month from now, it will probably be at least 30 years before marine life recovers in that area, and that isn't good news for all the folks making their living from fishing, tourism, etc.
I don't really know what all this means for BP. I assume they are well-insured, but for this? I don't know.
