BP should be given a break on this situation, after all, our gas tanks are full of their product for the last 30 years. Without BP, gas would be over $4 a gallon. Offshore oil is risky busines, but the public enjoys the fruits of BP's risk taking. Back off BP, it is a good company. This event should not castigate the entire service BP provides the American public.
you are acting histerical, -25% is highly unlikely since already down 30%. The ocean can metabolize the oil in the water column over time. Tar on the beaches can be cleaned up. However the wild life is a serious situation. This is less of a disaster than the Russians 'Chernoble' nuclear plant explosion.
