Well, I just read the news wire on TD Ameritrade.According to BP the oil flowing out is normal. They are coming from vents in the cap. I guess this is to pressurized the pipe gradually. They plan to close the vents later today. In the meantime oil is flowing into the containment ships.
...thank God all is under control now....Thats one big flume coming out.
the leaks are coming from bottom of cap. that means pressure drop across the "seal" at bottom is lower than pressure drop across OPEN valves and drill pipe to ship.Anybody that has studied fluid mechanics knows that this is not an encouraging sign
Most of us didn't study fluid dynamics. We had band practice that day!
Right and the clean up check is in the mail!
According to BP "All oil leaks" are normal.
