    The Chairmen irretrievably blew it with the

    small people remark. He is clueless. Its like putting Hitler in charge of Jewish holiday camp. Then he cant even communicate the transition of responsibility clearly.

    Hayward may have made significant gaffs but at least he appears sincere and contrite and genuinely sorry.

    The real blame here is the local American management, workers and regulators not the top level money men. Engineering dropped the ball by not insisting on solid engineering and giving in to local managements demands for cheaper and cheaper oil for all those wasteful hummers and suburbans.

    In so doing all the above they have just about destroyed one of the largest multinational companies on the planet. Now we have no choice but to give up on unsustainable resources like cheap oil.
