Dudley and Grote will discuss the earnings announcement for 4Q10 on February 1. Any bets on whether they will announce the reinstatement of the dividend? Will it be 100%, 50% or less?
All of you guys ae dreaming. They only made 4 cents a share. It will be a long time before we see a dividend.
Employees have been told "This is a most important day for BP" and stressed to watch the announcement 2/1. Special web sites are set up for employees. My bet divy is being announced for the 4th quarter for this on record by 2/8 or thereabouts. Leaked Russian info has 5% annual divy about where Shell is but better than XOM & Chevon. They want to hold the BP sticks at the record date.
Yea i got the email saying to watch the announcment live which i have never seen before so they are definetly gonna tell us something good.
Legally they would be wise to forgo the dividend until there is a settlement of the biggest claims against BP. The PR nightmare would be costly longterm.
Bp has already said they will begin paying dividend before 2nd quarter this year. They also said it will be announced 1st quarter on how much they will pay for 4th and 1st quarter this year. Im guessing will get just over $1 a share to start with.
I'm guessing 86 cents per ADR per quarter with a special dividend of $2.52 per ADR to make up for the dividends withheld.

Hey - it could happen. Now that they've discovered the spill almost cleaned up itself and it appears the liability payments are going to be way less than the $20 million they set aside they'll be rolling in money.
My guess is 62 cents/qtr, per ADR share, pay date March 2011 for 4th qtr 2010.
The dividend is not news.

I agree..think BP will opt to continue to forego Divy in this, still heated, climate!
