    If I Were in Charge!

    Put Me in Charge:

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50 pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tattoos and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV of Xbox360, the get a job.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem, “consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

And, while you are on Government subsistence, you can no longer VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself for voting while you are receiving a Government welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

    • ...vomiting would replace football as the national sport.
      .
if you want people to pay for their mistakes, try sending individual republicans a collective bill for $10 trillion -- the contribution to the deficit for reagan and the two bushes that they elected.
      .
but then you don't believe that oil companies should pay for the damage they do, either.
      .
go spout your nonsense elsewhere, old man.

      • You are the one that needs to catch up on the facts.

It was the Democrats that have strongly supported and robbed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that caused the housing bubble. The bursting of that bubble was the catalyst for the present economic disaster in the US.

It all started in 1973 with Jimmy Carter and the passage of the Community Reinvestment Act. From there and for the next 35
years, our country has been taken down by the liberal Democrats until, Here We Are Now!

You and your liberal friends need to read about James Johnson, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, and others who were at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The millions they received makes this round of bank bonuses look like peanuts.

This is sickening and a huge slap in the face of American taxpayers. Remember this about the present government when voting in 2012.

It was liberal Democrats, led by Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank, who for years.....including the present year......denied that Fannie/Freddie were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis.

The records regarding the contributions of Fannie/Freddie to congressional candidates and lobbyists are estimated to be $200 million, are sealed.

In all these cases, the foreclosure rate went up and nobody who advocated those lower lending standards was ever punished politically......NOT one....Not Barney Frank....Not Chis Dodd....Not Gov. Cuomo

We are NOT allowed any information from the Freedom of Information Act per ....OBAMA.

Only IN Government can they take money EARNED by Taxpayers and give it to losers.

With the majority of progressive liberals, its always somebody else's fault and somebody else's money they are "entitled" to. They are such lazy parasitic social dependents, always wanting more and too lazy to earn it.

Can you use a bigger font? How about bolding your messages? Maybe your computer has a key for larger Caps?

    • You need to run for President and be in charge. Your take is just good old plain common sense.

      • I agree with everthing you have stated about people recieving handouts from the government,I say the handouts should end altogether or a difinite time period say 3 months should be implemented that you could recieve any handouts. Generational welfare is not a good career path but is practiced by an ever growing segment of our population ,it must not be allowed to continue period. When bankrupcy comes to the country which is going to happen it will surely suck(to be you) if you are feeding from the government teet
