It's a shame that our GOVT. wants to destroy a company by the foolish claims
Lets see. All hotels will get new hotels. Fishermen will get new boats. Anyone who strikes a claim will get paid. Even if they never set a foot in the Gulf.
BP has been beyond generous to all claims and even those that were false claims.
Many are just trying to rape the company.
If it was any other company besides BP no one would have gotten a cent.
The judge in this case along with our Govt. needs to think twice on awarding money in areas that have already been paid.
BP has gone well above what what was required of them in this spill. But yet the lawers and Govt. want more and more.
If I was BP I would pack up and leave the US.market.
Screw the lawyers and the U.S. GOVT.
P.S. I have no investment in BP. I just feel that they are now being screwed left and right.
judging by the historical prices and large volume this past month and the prices of call and put options i wouldnt be too concerned with any lawsuits. RIG has settled and increased and BP has insurance to settle these upcoming claims that is much less than the worth of the oil their harvesting, the last few days of increases in a volitile market signal to me that at these prices which have really changed little since exdiv date that BP is a strong buy.I will be looking for a dip to increase my holdings here and the 5.30 yield is a bonus on this growth stock . JMHO
I absolutely agree laylow.
if this was exxon, the slimebags would be told " you ain't gettin' jack from us anymore". You already got more than you deserve. Exxon would have tied up the bunch of grifters for 40 years or more..
