    Discrimination against BP

Why is the federal government helping Blue Rhino (Propane company) that had a human error caused accident that killed employees and suing BP for a similar reason? Isn't that discrimination a foreign company? Doesn't BP employ 250,000 US citizens plus provide local contracts to other companies for outsourcing services? Where is this country going with this type of government????

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Willful or gross negligence would be if they did something like leaving out blow out preventer. No, they exercised poor risk management. I doubt they want 11 men killed and a rig blow up. I bet that billions BP paid out more than compensated actual financial losses. A lot of claimants probably made money on deal.
I bet after this over, that judge hopes he never hears word oil again.

My fine prediction - $8,000,000,000. They force BP into bankruptcy with maximum fine. I would bet money that Chinese Communist Party owned oil companies has already set up team of petroleum experts studying what might pick up at fire sale. The Chinese plan for the long haul. They are patient. They can wait. And they know meaning of peak oil.
