    Talking about integrity...

SBC has integrity. The leaders of this company have strong values and are thoroughly honest people trying to do their best. I have worked for the company for 20+ years and have every reason to believe they walk the talk. Their decisions are not always right, but their decisions are made with the best interests of the company in mind. This company is not another Enron or Worldcom.

President Bush has integrity. He is a straight shooter who has the best interests of the country at heart. His decisions may not always be right, but they are made with the best interests of America in mind. This president is not another Bill Clinton. You won't see George W doing an intern on the job or lying to the American people.

Shame on you Bush bashers. You are poor judges of character !!! You sound so jaded by your animus toward anything Republican that you can't recognize a sincere, honest person when you see one. Bush has been dealt a tough hand. He inherited a weakening economy and a vulnerable national security structure from his predecessor.

    • Thanks ray, I knew I read that SBC got upgraded recently, I just could not find it.

    • You are absolutely correct. Early entered the realms of being total entertainment to me a LONG time ago.

    • Early is just a short trader. He's probably already covered his short and headed long by this time.

    • Hey Early If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Vague, empty bashing (ie, polyester) has no merit. Don't wast a workin' man's time with vacant posts like that, please.

    • Well, well, it seems people are getting the "Early" idea. He's just an SBC basher. A shorter. He clearly doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about. He's been predicting that SBC stock will be in the teens for a long time.
If anyone recalls this was his same rhetoric a year ago. Anyone can make outlandish predictions that never come true.

Rationalize this...he's never been right yet.
Anyone that ignores balance sheets and cash flow when making judgements, obviously is in the dark about finance.

I have a feeling he put me on ignore a long time ago, that's why he never responds to my "Early bashing" messages.

It's fun to read his droll "rationalization of the day" comments though. It brings some well needed humor in these time of trouble.

Early's comedic predictions are priceless. You have to admit.

    • Nuff said

    • >>>And I'll ask again for the "thinking" impaired--In a market that has reached 5 year lows, a lower stock price doesn't seem to be a reasonable basis to say that the company is failing. You keep posting these dire predictions about SBC as if the company operates in a vaccum. Okay, so the stock price is down--tell me why that is a result of bad management instead of the economy, the market in general, or the decline in telecom in general. What have Ed and Co. done specifically that has caused this drop? Don't get so damn testy--if you have info to back it up, give it. Sometimes a question is just that, a question.

Early's comments are just more SBC bashing. Early should be given the title of Head Lemming.

Compare SBC's performance vs. that of VZ or that of BLS....it is ALL comparable. Current performance is a reflection of the overall market.

To think that Ed is singlehandedly affecting the stock performance gives him power almost equal to God. He may have some effect on it, but not totally as Head Lemming would try to make you believe.

Does this mean that the management of those companies is just like Ed? I don't think so.

SBC, VZ, BLS will survive AND profit....
