I suspect authorized increase in shares will be used after Gray Wolf results which would mean shares sold at much higher prices, possibly above book value. It is a very valid concern. DPTR was above $2 when the 173 million were issued at $1.50 and shares dived to 88 cents very briefly. I would buy now if price gets below $1.75 again. For disclosure, I currently own a large position in DPTR bonds.
Many think CHK is the play. Keep in mind futures for NG next June are about $6 or double today's price. CHK usually hedges where DPTR typically does not. If I was to play one it would be DPTR where it could be a 4 or 5 bagger within 12 months where CHK may be a double. I would wait to see Gray Wolf results and buy if they hit paydirt even if price moves up a lot. The reason is NG is so cheap it will not push DPTR up as much as if NG was much higher IMVHO. However, if they hit a major find, DPTR will be around for many years to come. DaninFW
I'll be brief about DPTR. Bought 60,000 DPTR at $1.75 2 days ago and sold out at $1.87 today. Made $7200 in 2 days. That's about the 5th or 6th trade on DPTR in last 30 days. I usually just buy 20,000-30,000 shares for a day trade. Well results for Gray Wolf due out any day. It was up today even with NG down 20 cents to new multi-year low. DaninFW
