A couple of years ago a dermatologist suggested BOTOX injections to relieve itching I had on my back (no rash). I refused because I was concerned that if BOTOX gravitated it could get into my lungs. I happen to like having working lungs to breathe. Wasn't BOTOX supposed to be restricted to use in the forehead where it can't do the damage it can do elsewhere? I'm grateful I passed on the treatment. Maybe I should send a copy of the article to the dermatologist! No, I'll just tell my primary care doctor when I see him in a couple of weeks. He never recommended it. I'll tell my husband (M.D.)too. He was astonished the dermatologist had recommended it.
