AGN would be a good acquisition for GSK today. I know (Glaxo)SmithKline must rue the day they spun Allergan off back in 1989. (I own shares of both companies.)

    • The AGN that GSK spun off a generation ago is today a shadow of that 1989 concern.
AGN's strength is it's management that runs a creative and winning strategy.
Easy for you to say: "AGN would be a good acquisition for GSK...", eh.
But GSK or any other BIG Pharma company will have to pay a "prohibitively hefty price tag" to acquire, what is, one of the most valuable and successful companies on the planet. Plus AGN's "uniqueness" would create "heartburn" assimilation problems for most big pharma companies.
In fact, AGN might be "too pricey" and a hard sell to the GSK board...
