WASHINGTON, May 5 (Reuters) - Staples Inc.(NasdaqNM:SPLS - News), which on Monday said it surpassed financial and customer service goals in 2002, boosted the salary and bonus for its chief executive, Ronald Sargent, according to a U.S. regulatory filing.
Isn't that nice? My salary goes down, the highest paid goes up. The main reason Staples met its financial goals was by sucking the blood out of my department in all the stores. Congrats, Tom. You're a real swell guy.......................................
why would you invest in the #3 brick and mortar office supply company when it already has a PE ratio of 33+...where do you really think its going....you know something everyone else doesn't....I think not...bad call, bub
I don't work for Staples jerkoff. I just happen to know a kiss-ass when I see one. This company needs more people who can actually make recommendations to fix things without quaking in their shoes that they may not advance if they are honestly critical of the many mistakes this company makes.
You are a spineless suck-up that yessirs his way up the ladder. Its the customers and investors that ultimately suffer.
No a Putz is someone who continues to work for a company they hate. When I see our stock price where it is YES I have no problem with the guys at the top making money.
If enjoying your job and believing I am fairly compensated for the job I do is sucking up......so be it, then that is what I am!!!
Staples has given me a career not a job and has enabled me to give my family and myself a good life!!!
Grow up and stop using this board to blame Staples for you being a LOSER!!
Actually, if theres a putz on this board it isn't him its you, you spineless suck-up. I bet you voted to give the crooks their millions on the proxy vote also, didn't you?
I voted NO on anything they recommended except for the accounting firm.
Congradulations. All I know is that since November, 2002 we have seen ugatz (sp?). Nothing like getting less money the longer you work for a company. I'm so glad we could all chip in and get Ron a nice little payday. I'm sure he needs it more than we do.
