You don't seem to be getting my message: WE DO MAIL PROSPECT LISTS! Millions of catalogs and DM pieces each year are sent to prospective SB customers.
And despite your insistence that circulars are the be-all and end-all of direct marketing, we've found that businesses are much more responsive to catalogs and traditional direct mail than they are to the consumer-ish vehicles like circulars.
Staples will continue to leverage national circulars in strategic seasons when it makes sense to drive Consumer traffic into the stores, such as Back to School and Holiday.
I'm pretty confident that our performance the last 10 quarters (and stock price) are indicative that our strategy is working...
