    Leak?

I recall reading the other day from one of the recent myriad Seeking Alpha "articles" that the author surmised the shorts were anticipating AMPE coming to market with a dilutive share offering in order to raise capital for the company's clinical trials and other administrative needs. I suppose anyone who can read an income statement or balance sheet or 10Q would've been able to make that educated guess; that AMPE's operational cash burn was bleeding the company. And that they'd need to refill their reserves in order to keep the lights on... Come on people, ahem, investors... do your homework before you invest. Not knowing the fiscal well being of your investment is akin to ignoring the ache in your chest before you drop. Guess what, you dropped...

    • To summarize dkotanto..."Duh!" Of course they had to sell stock. But what the shorts did was drive the price down and seriously hurt investors by reducing the proceeds. Still, this is very bullish when investors pump over $9 Million into Ampio in the face of the short attack! That says they have done their research and DD and it is a resounding BUY! to them. They just got a helluva deal!

    • Where have you been in the last few days? Did you actually read the SA articles? How coincidental it is that the shorts are in it for 1.7M shares, the raise is 2.2M shares, the fake articles come out a week before the raise announcement? Hmm, those guys must not only do their homework but also have psychic powers to predict the perfect timings too.
