Here's my opinion-
Many people that bought Ampio at $9 and $10 dollars sold their shares at a loss in the last three weeks of December 2013 so that they could claim the matter with our great uncle Samuel! They probably did the same with gold! Now, they are rushing to buy their gold back and I am predicting Ampio is THE "liquid gold." Watch out for Ampio when it starts it's run! And, it will! When the Ampio nerds start their walk to the FDA, the stock will crack their coke bottle glasses as it's rise will force them to party like Mordechi and Rigby! I think they will have Ampion and Optina approved, however, even if you disagree, the fact that the date gets close will zertayne the stock up. So, "don't be a fool, be an Ampio bull!"
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Fear not!! AMPE WILL AWAKEN with fury!!
Short sellers are sucking on sleeping pills in order to avoid the nightmare of being awake, knowing there will come a time, where their wives Victoria Secret card will have to be deposited into their margin accounts. They know it, yet they wait. Just like the blackjack player that knows he will lose, yet continues the struggle! Till he goes home to justify his misfortune!
Don't be a fool, be an Ampio bull! This along with "Rock on!" will be the Ampio flag!!!!!!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
There is an SA article entitled "biotech's with near term catalysts that should rally stock by a Scott Matusow who mentions AMPE. what follows is a brief excerpt from that article. That I thought you and the others on this board might like.
"Ampio expects to release data from a Phase IIb trial of Optina for Diabetic Macula Edema in the current quarter. Optina is a low dose version of danazol, designed to prevent leakage from small blood vessels caused by inflammation in many diseases including Diabetes Mellitus.
Type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus affects 26 million people in the United States. One of the many symptoms of diabetes is the local and systemic inflammation of the microvascular system. Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes and is characterized by damage to the blood vessels of the retina and can either be proliferative or non-proliferative.
If data is good with Optina, and we believe it will be, Ampio's stock price should increase significantly."
The operative word is IF, Hope you guys get lucky. The anticipation of good news is likely to inflate the PPS. Which begs the question at what point does one lock in their gains or bet the farm. I don't have an answer to that question and wouldn't even venture a guess on this board. I'm sure everyone here is cognizant of what could happen if there is even a whiff that results are less than stellar. Still have 4,000 shares in an account that I consider gambling money. Current rally looks strong on great volume. the 20 day sma looks poised to cross above the 50 day sma which should strengthen the current rally. But nothing in the market is for Sure. GLTA Hope this one makes everyone's New Year happy;-)
If data is good with Optina, and we believe it will be, Ampio's stock price should increase significantly
I agree with the caution needed with unqualified "If" "believe" "hope" and "wish" statements with regard to Optina. The interim FDA review did however (a) start an open-label extension study and (b)"it was determined that there was a treatment dosage that was demonstrating a potentially beneficial anatomic effect". Together with the improvement in visual acuity (the key metric) noted in the original Canadian trial and the fact that significant improvements in inflammatory processes take more time than the 12 weeks allotted in the Canadian trial, and the BMI-dependent dosing used in the current trial, the weight of evidence is in favor of a beneficial outcome.
I'm pretty skeptical by nature as most on this board know, so please feel free to offer conflicting clinical evidence. The magnitude of the visual improvement in the Canadian trial might, for example, be compared to that obtained with current treatment regimens.
Interestingly, there has been fairly strong buying early with the attitude of "give it to me at any price" and then the PPS falls back a bit to those "selling to pay bills" in small amounts....the price and volume surges indicate that news could be arriving...volume/price than usually news...
We shall see...in good time.
