    Is this normal?

I'm a new shareholder and understood this was a volatile stock, but is this normal? Profit taking?

    • In the market we have, I don't know what normal is anymore.

I do know that low vol stocks can be more volatile.

Monday's volume was the lowest of any day over the last 6 months. I'm surprised there wasn't more of a sell off on Monday.

People always want to sell, raising money for risk mgmt, for paying bills, etc. People don't always want to buy. So in a low vol environment, price drops can be sickening.

A good game to play is to have a list of very strong low vol stocks, and wait for them to drop like GTLS did. I have a couple of those on a watch list, and when I am properly patient, I make 10-15% in a week of 2 by buying the right dips.

GTLS is a pretty bullet proof company, imo. The risks are the global economy, and their execution on the large contracts they have. Not a thing we can do about the global economy, and I think their mgmt, based on past performances, will do just fine.

So, I hold. fyi, I was out, and just re-entered myself, so I feel your pain, but I am totally patient.
