Short interest at all time high

The number of shares held short almost doubled in
the last month to an all time high. It is possible
the last couple days run up has been the shorts
getting out or maybe the word getting out about the
partnership. Time will tell for the short term gamblers
whether you are long or short. Will it be a short squeeze
rapidly up, or another short term buying opportunity. Do
you not just love this suspense.

    • would change there name to they would be
at a $100 by now. These bio techs only get so far on
hype. When the earnings start to increase the big boys
      can justify their moves.
Just wait it out. Tune in
next year. A daily dose of worrying can cause
premature aging and all that goes with it.

    • posters. I define credible here as not just being
knowledgeable and keeping up on the company, but also being
able to point out where they (SUPG) are forgetting the
stockholders. For instance, the announcement of the TEVA deal
came with very little publicity or explanations. Many
stock holders do not read message boards. This is not
the offical board of the company. We get information
here from dshlm, Wrongbuy and you and Boogins. As to
you and Boogins, I know that it's "outside"
information from tenacious stock owners watching their
      generous investment.

But this is not the first
place we should see these things. We should see them in
News, under Press Releases and article, etc. We
shouldn't all be "standing" in here wondering "why did they
do that?" or saying blind things like "Well the
brain trust is infallable so it must have been a great

Sorry Mkb and fjaiii, I probably overlooked a lot of

As to infallability - Dr. Lenaz does have a 100%
track record for identifying active compounds (just
fact - well documented). But, that's what he does. He
doesn't try to do it all and it's not a one man/woman
company by any means. It's a team effort and each
employee from the CEO down has something unique to

      Anes - ROFLMAO!!!!

    • Still operating in the red.

    • Analyst says price target $30 in 1 year.
      Is he
      forgeting something.
If any one of SUPG drugs is
      I see $100 in 1 year.

      Did he forget this is
      a biotech company,
      with drugs close to approval?

    • Those who like biotechs and want diversification
might try a biotech mutual fund. There is only one that
just invests in biotechs though. That is the Franklin
Biotech discovery Fund. They currently hold about 45
issues. Look at your news recall for IMCL (Imclone) for a
recent Dow Wire report on the manager and fund.

    • Relax, buddy. You are credible as hell. Your posts have been informative, insightful, and right on. Keep it up. We all look foward to hearing from you.

    • actually I must confess, a friend helped me with
the Italian. I told my friend that I hoped I hadn't
said "your mother blows goats", and was told, "Nah,
you said your SAINTED mother blows goats", so that's
      all right.

    • That you don't consider me as one of your
      credible posters.
If SUPG continues to stay above the
19-20 area and takes off soon I will have called the
bottom. I also still think my fairy tale story post over
a month or two back will come true. Its on the
      partnership structure.
On the point of having all of one
eggs in a basket. I agree that there should be
diversification. However one can not follow too many stocks and a
portfolio of several large positions will be more
meaningful if one is correct and does their homework. Also
never place too much in any investment were that
company places all their bets on only one product. In the
case of SUPG the fact that they have purchased several
compounds and are attempting to build a pipeline of
potential drug targets is comforting. GO SUPG GO Oh yes
company is acting too cockey lately. A good sign for the
      short term.

    • Voi sono troppo gentile. And now in English por favor, since my Italian is a little rusty.

    • I mean that, Dig and Cut and even Mr. Caveat...
but don't insult me anymore, please. I never hit

Joe... you are the greatest, man, but I have to tell
you, I'm worried about the market in general. I've
made some real gains this year and last year and don't
want to learn the hard way, like many here have. I'm
not as experienced an investor as they are and they
      hopefully won't panic, so I won't either.

      I may
start having a lot more questions than answers soon and
I may need everybody (most definitely you, Joe),
but these very serious topical people

SuperGen is great and I'm holding onto it as a life raft
in this kinda scary market right now.
