Thank God that we still have a pretty decent dividend. Anyone who complains about the decrease to 8 cents/ month from 20 cents is not playing with a full deck. I did notice that the monthly distribution has been changed to a quarterly. So what!!!
....Guess you are correct in that we still get some cash every quarter! Annualized I got $8,160.00, now I get $3,230.00. The yield at present is very good, but some of us bought this at considerably higher prices. It will take a long time to recoup the loss of investment dollars. The economy will be basically stagnant for 2-3 years in my estimation. But I guess we still get a few sheckles every quarter!
The way I look at it is that the price is way down from my entry point and the loss is there. However, I kept my fingers crossed and hope that they survived. The investment in this stuff was for the dividend and as long as the dividend is paid I do not care about the nav. My dividends were and are for income only. Sure, its a decrease but again thank God it did not go to zero along with the stock. Other stocks in my portfolio are for growth. As long as this keeps paying along with my other junk then I will do OK. Just live on less.
