Apple Loses Sanctions Bid In VirnetX ITC Patent Spat
My apologies if this has already been posted but I had not seen it prior to this evening:
Law360, New York (April 30, 2013, 7:26 PM ET) -- In a decision made public late Monday, a U.S. International Trade Commission judge refused Apple Inc.'s bid to have VirnetX Inc. cover its litigation costs after the company chose to withdraw its complaint accusing the iPhone maker of importing products that violated its patent for secure Internet communication technology.
Administrative Law Judge E. James Gildea denied Apple's motions for sanctions and granted VirnetX's request to terminate the pending ITC investigation. VirnetX said the move allows it to focus its efforts on pursuing litigation in district court..
No apologies needed inowhoyour you are the first to the gate. Thanks for sharing this post. Another win for Virnetx. With the exception of just 1/2 a win in the Cisco case Virnetx and Its legal teams have done real well in the courts. Pretty great record IMO
