They appear to now have nine licenses across four countries covering an area of 43,000 square kilometers (~10 million acres), including existing production and other projects offshore Nigeria (the Oyo oil field), as well as exploration licenses offshore Ghana, Kenya and Gambia, and onshore Kenya.
CAMAC Energy, Inc. explores, develops, and produces oil and gas primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its assets portfolio consists of eight licenses covering an area of approximately 41,000 square kilometers located in Nigeria (West Africa), Kenya (East Africa), and the Gambia (West Africa). The Oyo oil field, where drilling is supposed to begin soon, is off the Nigerian coast.
