    FNHC will blow away earnings.

They are writing tons of business and have a sound management team

    • Oops, that Florida insurer is HCI.

    • Take a look at another insurer's results, doing business in Florida. Fantastic report yesterday. And stock is way up today. I think this bodes well for the first quarter results for FNHC.

    • I agree there is a good possibility that they could earn a significant amount this quarter. Do you feel .50 is possible?

      • ballen, I think .50 earnings for First Q 2013 is unrealistic, considering that EPS for the whole year of 2012 was .53. I would be happy with .30-.35 for the First Q. If EPS is that, then possibly to $8.50-9 pps. After waiting all these years for good results, I think this stock is going to have to build slowly, restoring the confidence of those of us who have been holding long term. I'm happy to keep holding, as long as they show improving earnings. 4th Q left me wondering. If 1st Q 2013 is not good, then I might consider selling. HCI has proven to be much, must better in the Florida insurance business, wtih its fantastically increasing divy also. If this Q and next Q show good earnings, I hope FNHC managment will not wait a whole year to raise their divy. Another .01 per quarter divy (after 2nd Q earnings) would encourage me to keep being patient. We've waiting a long, long time. And I, for one, am still underwater with my original investment made 5+ years ago.
