When a super tanker leaves the dock, as it leaves the port it must maneuver multiple times and its speed is slow and cautionary. Once it reaches the open seas, it increases speed considerably and the direction is steady. Novadaq is just leaving the dock. The conference call reflects this ---4 major research papers to be published in 2014, 60 new sales persons hired with 10 to go in Q1 2014 then 9 months until they become productive, 2/3 of Pinpoint/Luna placements are in "exploratory" status vs 1/3 sales, sales time to close hospital purchases is "6 to 9 months".
Very unlikely that NVDQ will sell itself with market potential over $2 Billion in annual sales and "Gross Margins 2013 in low 60's% moving to mid 60's% for 2014 and eventually in low 70's%. ISRG has the same market size and margins....Market cap for ISRG is ~$20 Billion, market cap for NVDQ is ~$1 Billion. Will J&J offer $170 to $340 a share?
