Stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) damage white and grey matter. Loss of oligodendrocytes and
their myelin, impairs axonal function. Remyelination involves oligodendrogenesis during which new
myelinating oligodendrocytes are generated by differentiated oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs).
This article briefly reviews the processes of oligodendrogenesis in adult rodent brains, and promising
experimental therapies targeting the neurovascular unit that reduce oligodendrocyte damage and amplify
endogenous oligodendrogenesis after stroke and TBI.
So. pH20 intereferes with remyelination after CVA- not promising if in fact it contributes to their cause....
Thanks for your abstract (n = 1) study of rebuilding the (non-pancreatic cancer or chemo exposed) rodent brain after stroke. However, humans in the $HALO Phase II, moving forward, will just take a blood thinner to avoid stroke entirely.
Maybe Humans will avoid PH20 the Only Hyaluronidase whose Hyaluronan break down products interfere with the repair of CVA (stroke) a condition actually associated with PH20. So, PH20 Both contributes to stroke and helps prevent its repair. Doesn't sound promising. Now tell me about your theory that HALO is using Hyal, Diagnostic tool to screen pH2 patients- they aren't- see clinicaltrials.gov.
