Are these boards for honest posts and the
sharing of info...or do longs simply try
to pump and shorts the opposite?
How does one glean the treasures from the
trash?
Dear Cubs_win,
There is NO treasure to be found on this board, anymore than you could become wise from learning philosophy down at your local bar.
The only value here is the amusement to be found listening to a bunch of smart-alecks and junior-high towel snappers, and the satisfaction that no-one like them married your daughter.
You should due checking on this source as you would any other. If John Smith says on CNBC go buy Acme stock, do you run out and buy Acmne stock? You need to compile your info from multiple sources to see the true picture.
<How does one glean the treasures from the
trash?>

This board is primarily for entertainment. Ocasionally, you'll find a fact or two, some info, but mainly a lot of BS.
Agreed. You find more useful on this board though than many others. Some have thousands of posts of trash daily- some pumping/dumping stock and some completely unrelated to the stock.

You have to take everything here with a grain of salt. There are a lot of knee jerk reactions. In general, I tend to ignore the people who are screaming, that is, I pay no attention to posters who always insult and berate the other side.
You won't find anything uncontested on these Yahoo boards. So, you just have to do your own due diligence and come to your own conclusion.
Posts should never prompt buying or selling decisions by themselves. A lot of the posts will have DD somewhere in them, meaning do your own Due Diligence before buy/sell. Everyone's got their own bias, depending on which side of the coin they are on.
