    MK-677 ?

I assume MK-677 is a MRK product, no? Do they have one for mental frailty as well?

    • There already exists a battery of drugs to combat mental frailty, though they're not widely used in the United States. They're called "racetams," which are a sub-category of nootropics, or brain-boosting drugs. Racetams (such a Piracetam and aniracetam) have been proven to accelerate nerve regeneration in the brain and aid in retrieving memory, both for the impaired and the unimpaired. They're cheap, unregulated, and widely available in the US. You may even be able to buy some at your local supplement store.

Additionally, fish oil, acetyl-l-carnitine, and even low doses of dextro-methamphetamine (sold medically as desoxyn) will accelerate neural regeneration.

The brain is a complex organ. While that makes it a difficult study, there are many avenues to approach "hot rodding" the CNS. Often, you don't need to know exactly what's wrong with it to improve it's performance in some manner.

I'd recommend you read Dr. Amen's book Making a Good Brain Great. It explains a great deal of sophisticated neurology in surprisingly simple and easy to understand terms. He also makes several effective yet benign suggestions for improving the overall performance of the brain. The book is replete with pictures of SPECT brain scans showing topographical changes in diseased or injured brains - very interesting.

As a disclaimer - I'm not a doctor or medical professional of any sort. I'm an unemployed ex-Army Chemical Officer who studies neuropsychiatry for his own amusement. Don't run off and load up yourself or your mee-maw with unregulated French drugs because some idiot on the internet thought it would be a good idea.

Merck is developing a topical cream which treats erectile dysfunction long-term. It's being tested in Iraq right now, which is how I know about it. The guys out there love it, and THAT is the reason to buy merck.

      • He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

For those who search for the truth.

Not a Merck product but all natural with no toxic side effects.

RxOmega-3 Factors™ is a pharmaceutical grade liquid fish oil concentrate providing one of the highest potencies of EPA and DHA available. Stringent quality control standards ensure this highly purified fish oil concentrate is free from toxic environmental contaminants and heavy metals like mercury.

High on 750 mg DHA, which is dynamite for the BRAIN and 1500 EPA.

Suggest consuming with Organic Cottage Cheese and Organic, 1st Cold Press, Extra Virgin Oil. Have great protocol for those interested.
