This afternoon, Ken Frazier, CEO/President of MRK and member of the Penn State Board of Trustees reportedly said the following to a white male today following a PSUBoT meeting:
"If you cared about that (due process), you are one of the few people in this country THAT LOOK LIKE YOU who believes the O.J. Simpson not guilty verdict was correct."
If true, is this acceptable behavior by the CEO of a major corporation (or anyone, for that matter)?
The Centre Daily Times, the local newspaper in State College, PA, published an editorial criticizing Frazier's comments from Thursday. In their words:
"And Frazier’s “that looks like you” reference was an unnecessary and irresponsible jab. To introduce a racial element is as puzzling as it is inappropriate. Why go there?"
Let's hope Mr. Frazier is more careful in his dealings with Merck customers and shareholders. When the heat was on, he reacted poorly.
This guy is a racist and he is the CEO of Merck and on the BOT of Penn State? He needs to be removed from both positions. Look up his comments on Youtube. i do not know why the media isn't all over this. He even admits to what he said and is proud of it. For shame Ken Frazier, for shame.
