    Zocor Formulary

    From a press release

" ZOCOR is available on more than 90 percent of managed-care formularies in the United States, reflecting its standing as the only therapy in the ``statin'' class indicated to significantly reduce LDL cholesterol (the so-called bad cholesterol), to significantly reduce triglycerides and save lives in people with
high cholesterol and coronary heart disease. "

Ignoring the second part which is irrelevent for the discussion, the issue with Zocor is not getting closed out of 10 percent of formularies, but the relative choice physicians are making between Lipitor and Zocor based on the perceived efficacy of the products. IMHO, physicians have access to both products and are choosing Lipitor over Zocor based on the comparitive data that is being presented.

    • Please don't be so concerned that it will (as we have analyzed here at the Institute)...dropping to $75....This represents a
major buying opportunity into the Pharma comp. of the 21st Century........WE here (at the Institute) are beginning to liqudate
many assets in anticipation of this opporunity which I dare say may come within the next month and a
half........Foresight/Vision/and TRUANALYSIS are the core components that have fueled numerous success stories of our generation......We look to forward to
having a nice growth with MERCK well into the 21st Century ...but first we must recoup at around the $75 mark!!!!
