Nobody, NOBODY deserves to lose their retirement, bash or no bash. If they worked for their living, then they deserve to have what they rightfully worked for. It's this kind of mentality that makes employees frightened little "sheeple".
That makes no sense whatsoever. Ashland's pension fund was fully funded before the acqusition, in fact it was fully funded from the proceeds of the MAP divesture. The only cost savings in this area would be not to fund the current employees 401K plans. And they might as well cut that out that way they can forget about ever being able to hire another qualified person ever again because the salaries around the country are all based on Lexington pay scales.
