I don't see adding cash to the balance sheet as making MDXG more attractive. Most potential buyers have all the cash they need an probably are looking for places to deploy it. My guess is the offering is to help fund product expansion, possible strategic (what other kind would they do?) acquisitions and increase the float to accomodate more insititutional investors. My opinion and $3.50 will get you a large (or whatever that faux Italian work Starbucks uses) cup of coffee.
I bought this AM for me and my kids. I was hoping we'd get another opportunity but didn't think this would be the catalyst. We used Genuity on a micro cap IPO two years ago. They did a good job placing the shares but were a little weak supporting the price. Probably had to do more with the company than the underwriter.
What are the chances we break $10 by the end of 2013?
I'll bet you hate to see Brian McCann wearing Yankee pinstripes. It is just hard to compete with the Yankees and Red Sox when they have so much $$$$$$ to throw around. I thought McCann really liked it in Atlanta, but I suppose for 85 million dollars, he might learn to tolerate New York.
As you probably know offering price will be dependent upon demand and market conditions. With only a 3 percent sell off at this point on light volume, I would assume the offering price will be somewhere near 7. I remember Bill Taylor saying in the last phone conference call that the studies for amniofix to get the BLA was low, like 1 million per license (listen to the call). With that said, they must have other plans for this money and I would guess hiring more sales people which in theory is accretive.
