last couple hours.
It sucks, having to enter buy and sell details and dates for each trade. Did over 200 trades last year. A record for me.
I am sure GM and Mag got me beat, so what do youse do guys?
Too late for me this year, but anyone have any time saving ideas for next year?
I am not very computer savvy, so I am behind the curve here.
I LOVE MY ANIK!
*What caught my eye, was 999m, almost 1 billion in milestone payments to be paid by Novartis and Astra Zeneca over the next several years*
ONLY IF CERTAIN MILESTONES ARE ACHIEVED BY AVNR.
BTW, 31.3m shares outstanding. I said it was 30m in earlier post.
I like your AVNR a lot a lot. heheh
What caught my eye, was 999m, almost 1 billion in milestone payments to be paid by Novartis and Astra Zeneca over the next several years.Divide that by approx 30m shares = over $300/share in payments. WOW!!! Those numbers excite me!!!
Re: Last few weeks sell-off. Hard to tell if people only reducing exposure or getting out. Sale of stock from warrants(they have 100% profit).
Thanks for bringing it to this board. I am also happy it will trade on nasdaq and eliminate the confusion with symbols.
Best to you.
Avanir (soon to be AVNR) has a new drug application with Neurodex for neurological disorders. The NDA was filed the end of January and as I understand it the FDA is supposed to reply within 60 days. The attached link can explain it better than myself.
It's been a bit more nerve racking than I anticipated-I didn't suspect the rundown before this 'ruling'. The stock trended even lower today (so it still may not be too late). But as they say these drug stocks are binary--way up or way down. Tomorrow the CEO is presenting at the CIBC biotech conference so hopefully there will be good news.
Lou, if you are using Etrade Use quicken and link Quicken with the Etrade website. All the transactions will be dowloaded automatically. End of the year you can transfer them to Turbotax without any problem.
You may be able to download past transactions too
If you use Scottrade, you can print out all sell activity for 2004, 2005 and 2006. The statement will separate out short and long term gains and losses. Only show the totals on Sch-D and attach a copy of the statement to your return. Beginning 2006 the Brokerage House will be required to track your short term and long term gain and losses.
I also do all my trades at ET, over 200 last year. I use Quicken Premier, and transport all my ET trades each quarter. If you pair up the buys and sells when you trade, they will go to Quicken. Then you can easily run a Capital Gain and Loss report that can very easily be transported to Turbo Tax. Last year was a mess since I had about 3 different brokerage firms and when I transferred to ET they did not have cost basis. This year it took about 30 minutes for the final report. The key is to pair all your trades when you close them out. Hope this helps.
thanks neo. . ill get avn up next time, I think I had a problem with the ticker
I have a regular column I post on SC also you can visit.
