" First Manhattan focuses on value-oriented equity investments with an eye toward long-term growth; its analysts follow a broad range of companies in industries such as banking, consumer products, health care, and oil."
When an investment house such as First Manhattan Company makes a huge investment in VVUS you better believe they have done their homework.
Insiders control only a very small number of shares. Accorindg to Cowen & Co it is highly likely that these 6 proposed directors by FMC will be elected, assuming that they can stand for election. If that happens it will start rebuilding confidence with institutional/big investors and the odds of VVUS succeeding will be much better. I will vote for the new directors if they csan stand for election.
