    I contacted Investor Relations

As suggested I contacted STI investor relations concerning the late delivery of the 100 meter rce/cdr equipment and whether it would cause a delay in delivery of the 100 meter hts wire samples.

Here is their reply - "For clarity, the existing RCE/CDR system installed Santa Barbara will be used to produce the samples required for the cable demonstration project. The 100 meter RCE/CDR pilot system scheduled for delivery in 2H2012 is designed to demonstrate to our customers the yield, scalability and repeatability of our process, while providing STI validation of critical machine design parameters. This capability will be important in 2013 as we scale our manufacturing process to kilometer lengths. I hope this clears up any ambiguity. Please feel free to contact me if you need further clarification or have any other questions."

    This is excellent news IMHO.

    • Well reality turns out 10-months later to be a bit different from what STI IR has stated.

Now priority is to produce the less demanding wire, putting the cable project wire (due Q32012) on the back burner.

This is a continuing pattern for this company.

The jig is up if they fail to meet customers stage-2 qualification round. They need to raise money by end of Aug., so they have little time to produce stage-2 wire, have it evaluated then if it passes, release a PR to lift SP prior to a cash raise. Remember these are 10 - 20 m evaluation samples.

They will then need to get the 100m RCE fully functional, then build a 1km RCE and get it fully functional.

They got the 100m RCE in Oct 2012 and per the last cc not able to produce the less demanding stage-2 qualification samples. Talk about a tough deadline and meeting deadlines are not STI's forte.

    • Ouch, as time passes indicates the R&D RCE/CDR in Santa Barbara can't produce the wire for cable demo project and the 100m RCE is failing its purpose "designed to demonstrate to our customers the yield, scalability and repeatability of our process ..."

Still no news on this wire for demo project. The Q&A this Wed looks to be a rating smash. Think the longs are going to be disappointed.

    • You simply never answer a question...why do you always evade...afraid of making a committment? I think the answer is yes..because you know it will come back to bite you in the butt! LOL! LOL! LOL!

I think we should name you "the evasive liar" captures all of your salient qualities! LOL! LOL! LOL!

    • I know that if you had contacted IR you wouldn't have to ask that question.

So get off your duff and give them a call.

Ask them if they renegotiated the wire lengths for the cable demo while you are at it.

    • I don't have problems distinguishing facts and truth...but you sure do...and you are still evading answering the question!

    • You don't know what I have done or not done....I asked you a simple which you are still evading...

Was the content of your post a direct quote from STI? A simple yes or no will suffice! Why be evasive?

    • You obviously haven't taken your own advice and contacted investor relations yet.

If you had, you'd be able to tell the difference between fabrications and the truth.

    • You obviously haven't taken your own advice and called investor relations yet.

      Otherwise you'd know the truth.

    • Nope...since we know you tell lies, that post could be a complete fabrication.

Your response make be believe it is indeed a fabrication!

    • thanks for posting the mail.
i had no idea that STI had a 100m RCE/CDR machine in Santa Barbara, but that's really good news.
this means STI is already able to produce 100m-lengths, maybe not in big quantities and they need to transport them to and fro, but they
seem to have succeeded with the challenge to produce this length. and they announced to be able to start 1-km-length production in the very near future. i have no doubt, they will make it, even if there might be some delays.
i wonder if/when they will announce to have produced the first 100m-legth tape...
