    10-Q before the March 11 R/S Vote

    There will be a 10-Q required before the March 11 Stockholder Meeting for Management R/S option vote, correct? Looking at past 10-Q dates shouldn't there be at least a NT 10-Q early next trading week if there is a delay here?

    I bought my first shares here at $1.41 Feb 7 2012 and added to my little dab minutes before the close Friday at .205 There is a CIGRE report online, from Paris Aug 2012. Looking through it, and considering the albeit infrequent SCON announcements that have regarded incremental performance upgrades, I have to remain optimistic about the commercial opportunities this available 2G HTS wire will find.

    Some have posted about job postings. There may be one or two new ones listed on the Careers page since the Product Line Management position posting made the Message Board here, but certainly not 8 new ones. I recall looking through 5 or 6 on the SCON careers page when folks first posted about the Product Line Management position here.

    The Nov 8, 2012 8-K discloses the suite of machines for 2G HTS wire production are in Austin. The 3 major components; IBAD installed in April, RCE installed in October, and SDP shipped to Austin early November after completed accceptance testing are being turned-up for commercial sales in 2014.

    • Actually it will not be a 10Q. It will be a 10K since STI's fiscal year ends with the calendar year. Typically they don't issue that until later in March and they have issued a prospectus for the r/s vote.

    • Job listings is a total of 8 or so if i count correctly.
      Do seem all to be wire production related.

      Senior Manager, Product Line Management, Superconducting Wire

      The Role:
      The primary responsibility of STI’s Product Line Manager for our Superconducting Wire Division is to ensure the profitable growth of the Conductus® product line in the global market. You will be the product competitive expert and primary advocate for our Conductus® product line.

      You will also be responsible for business planning, product strategy; roadmaps and product line P&L. Taking charge of collecting and maintaining market requirements, new product introductions, positioning, competitive analysis, monitor IP portfolio, SWOT analysis, pricing strategies, deal support and negotiation, and the delivery of training and tools to support Sales.

      Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management and Marketing, you will become an integral part of the Business Development team, which includes Product Management, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications and Application Engineering. While you will not manage any direct reports, there are numerous internal resources available to support your efforts.

      Pivotal to your success will be your project management skills. While the role involves a mix of high-level strategic thinking and technical work, you'll need to coordinate across functional lines, acting as the entrepreneurial advocate for the Conductus Superconducting Wire product by influencing and motivating others.

      The Requirements:
      To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have the following:
      A BS (preferably MS) in related technical field such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
      Solid product management/marketing experience related to utility power industry products: electric motors, generators, high voltage underground transmission lines, substation equipment.
      Ideally have knowledge of superconductivity devices.
      Knowledge of market including competitive landscape, applications, technologies.
      Strong technical aptitude and the ability to openly communicate and deliver a concise messaging with engineers and other technical professionals, both internally and externally.
      Demonstrated project management skills; formal training and/or certification in project management are a plus.
      Agility, flexibility and the ability to learn quickly.
      Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to drive cross-functional groups through influence and motivation.
      Strong communication skills and the ability to disseminate information effectively among stakeholders.
      A polished demeanor and the ability to represent STI well in interactions with customers and industry groups such as CCAS, MRS, IEEE and CIGRE.

      The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (sometimes internationally). Travel is mainly required to participate in industry events, meet with customers to promote STI capabilities, conduct business and technical reviews and give customer presentations.
