So it looks like Zillow has figured out the monetization of mobile ads and is starting to reep the fruits of their efforts. Maybe Zillow should get together with Facebook and work with them on their mobile monetization efforts. What a winning combination this could be for both companies.
Who says Zillow has figured out monetization of mobile? Just CEO Spencer Rascoff, but he has not given any facts to substantiate this other than state that half the visits to Zillow were on mobile devices.
With Display Ad revenue only increasing by 26% year on year in 2012 compared to 2011 thats hardly worthy of a business with a PE ratio of 250 demonstrating that growth is plateauing . Just because Rascoff keeps saying 'we are monetizing mobile' doesn't mean they are actually doing it. Just read all the complaints from mobile users on the Zillow advice forum and see how useless the mobile applications really are.
