Zillow property valuations still wildly inaccurate in many localities...

Any sample of Realtors will tell you that generally don't trust Zillow market valuations..and therefore seldom use Zillow. Buyers may not realize its limitations until too late. Seattle, last city to suffer housing crash, was not a good training ground for Zillow back in the early 2000s...my humble opinion. Trulia and Multiple sites are more useful, in my opinion.

I agree with this statement. It doesn't take in the stats on what Realtors are selling the houses at currently.

    • When you consider that 17% of 110 million zestimates are more than 25% incorrect that means that almost 20 million homes have substantially erroneous zestimates imposed by Zillow. What I don't understand is Zillows refusal to correct or delete such nonsense zestimates when requested by the homeowner to do so because of the misery and financial damage being caused as a consequence. It is time that Zillow was subjected to some form of regulation to protect the interests of homeowners and to stop the chaos and confusion caused by these seriously inaccurate zestimates. Zillow executives should be called to DC to explain their arrogant behavior to Congress in the same way as executives of other companies that treat consumers with contempt are frequently required to do.
