Reason for stock upward movement in past several weeks
One valuable info i got from that motley fools interview which is LIKELY FOR THE UPWARD PRICE MOVEMENT since the interview....was that CEO is "aiming for GREATER than 30% EBITDA in 2-3 yrs." If 2014 revenue expectation is $250M (according to yahoo)..... for 2015 about $300-320 and you project 2016 revenue expectation of AT LEAST $350M- 375M (extremely conservative numbers) than based on 30% EBITDA.....the EPS should be at least $3+.
Now based on those numbers this stock is NOT expensive at all. In fact you can add to your position at these levels and hold for 3 yrs and make tons of money.
I think you owe it to all Zillow investors to provide the specific link to the statement by CEO Spencer Rascoff that he is 'aiming for greater than 30% EBITDA in 2 -3 years'.. There are Securities laws surrounding such forward looking statements of future years earnings, and if the statement is subsequently found to have no basis of fact, and is no more than 'puffery' then Spencer Rascoff is likely to be sued in an shareholder Class Action.
I would be very surprised if a Harvard educated, ex Goldman Sachs banker made such a statement, especially as Zillow and and number of his fellow executives are already the subject of a violation of Securities law class action which was filed by shareholders in November 2012.
for some reason it wont let me post the link for motley fools interview. just go to yahoo news and check for motley fools article that states "why zillow employees cant check its stock" several days ago. In the article it says full article and the statement of 30% EBIDTA is near the bottom.
I practiced law in the securities field for 40 years and I can tell you that nobody is going to get into trouble with the securities laws by saying that he is "aiming" for a greater than 30% EBITDA in 2-3 years. It is not a prediction. It is just what he says "aiming". And, why does mdaceut "owe" anything to anybody. If you are interested, instead of just carping, go find it for yourself. You might say I didn't like the tone of your message. Who made you kind of anything?
