Datastream reported revenues for 3Q98 of $25.2 million, a 45% increase from 3Q98. Software sales rose 15% over the prior year, consulting services rose 81%, and technical services rose 52%. Net income for 3Q98 was $4 million before one-time charges related to the acquisition of Computec Sistemas S.A. on September 2, 1998. Excluding these charges, net income increased 34% over 3Q97. Diluted EPS for the quarter (before the charge) was $0.20, a 33% increase from the $0.15 earned in 3Q97.
Not to scare people, but to make sure what is going on. H&Q downgraded from Strong buy to buy, reason for last big dip and the flat trading the last two weeks. Raymond James downgraded to HOLD or Neutral, which means sell in most people's books.
I am positive on DSTM, you should be able to tell this by reading my previous posts! Please read my previous posts. I love to fish on the bottom and this was/is the bottom. I like to be a little more nervous when there has been 1 or more down grade. Two in DSTM's case.
Let's hope that the NASDAQ market continues to go up otherwise, DSTM's timing for a good up move may have been a little too late. But I am sure it will go up as the Market goes up.
