The reason I am interested in CLNE is that I think it is the best way to help cut down on our imports of Middle Eastern oil. The more fleets convert to using CNG the less oil will need to be imported and the less money will go to people who are supporting our enemies. I am taking a very proactive approach, boosting CLNE by actually contacting cities and airports and telling them about the advantages of using CNG. If they are interested, I send them a packet of brochures which I got from the company. I make it clear that I am not a salesman but only a patriotic American trying to do his part in the war on terror. So far I have contacted about a dozen fleet operators and mailed out almost as many packets of information. You can do the same. Just contact CLNE and ask for materials to send out on their behalf. Don't just sit on the sidelines cheering for CLNE. Get in there and fight for it! Remember the old Chinese proverb. It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.
has anyone heard any projections if FedEX or UPS or even the US Postal service will convert to NG as a fuel??????? i think we should write our congress people and ask for a start to convert. These area's along with taxi cabs, and city /localgoverments are the area to get a change started in..
Start closer to home. Go directly to the fleet management or solid waste department of your own city or any nearby city that is big enough to have its own bus system or refuse trucks. You can get the name of a man you need to contact on the web site of most cities. It's easy. Now is the time to talk to these people while the price of gasoline and Diesel is so much higher than NG.
