Connecticut Rep. Larson, a democrat, is filing the Natural Gas Act in Congress on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. That is tomorrow folks. The bill has strong support. The budget fight will get in the way, but this will end up passing. Here is the link.
This company will move forward regardless of the bill passing or not.
Of course it may shake some people off if it doesnt pass.
But there is a bid underneath the stock.
Companies signing contracts with clne independently
And/or even huge companies partnering up with clne or even buying them out.
This is the only company that's delivering gas at a pump.
There is no way this company will not continue to shake things up bill or no bill.
<<For these reasons and more I think it has a much better chance of passing this time around.>>
Good reasons. Also, last week was the very first time President Obama has even acknowledged the existence of the Nat Gas Acts, even going so far as to tell these Acts' bipartisan supporters to keep working on the bills. I think this commits Obama to signing the legislation if it passes the House and Senate.
On another note, Senators Harry Reid (D-NV), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Menendez (D-NJ) were the original co-sponsors of the Nat Gas Act in the Senate, S. 1408, clear back in July, 2009. I think the fact that Harry Reid supported this bill before he got sidetracked carrying water for the far left cap and trade crowd, also bodes well for its passage. JMO.

Just for the record, I believe Reps. John Sullivan (R-OK), Dan Boren (D-OK), John Larson (D-CT) and Kevin Brady (R-TX) will be jointly filing the legislation. These Congressman all scratch each others back to let each other have a news release in their own districts taking credit for the bill. For example, this story from Stillwater, Oklahoma says:
"The Nat Gas Act, authored by Oklahoma Congressman John Sullivan (R-OK) and co-sponsored by Oklahoma Congressman Dan Boren (D-OK), hopes to boost the use of natural gas as a fuel in the transportation sector". There is no mention the two non Oklahoma sponsors, Larson and Brady.
I think you are wrong and I am right, just saying!! The last time Pickens thought this would pass, gas was not $4 and now it is. Done deal!! I suggest you short as many shares as you can right now since you are just saying it ain't going to pass.
did you forget that gas was $4 once before and nothing happened.........and the mood of the country back then wanted these nat gas bills just as bad then, the politicians don't care what you and I think.
Call me jaded but I'm always suspicious of these things. Has every other politician been greased yet for their vote? ...if not the American people might have to pay for several bridges, parks, highways, and museums before the votes come thru for the Natural Gas Act.
This is a re-run folks, don't get too excited, saw this same exact show last year and still waiting.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very much a bull on this stock and have been long here for 24 months, but I have seen this same show now more then once...........
